Waste Management customers can participate in the Mass Save® Appliance Recycling Program and may be eligible to receive a rebate for recycling old appliances responsibly.

Program Guidelines & Eligibility

Eligible Appliances

• Refrigerator

• Freezer

• Dehumidifier
  (Dehumidifiers must be scheduled with a refrigerator or freezer)

Appliance Condition

• Refrigerators and freezers must be:

  • In working condition

  • Empty at the time of pick-up

Appliance Size Requirements

• Refrigerators and freezers must be between:

  • 10 and 30 cubic feet

• Dorm-sized refrigerators are not eligible

Appliance Location

• The appliance must be located at your residence or business at the time of collection

Customer Eligibility Requirements

Electric Utility Requirement

You must be a residential or small business electric customer of:

• Cape Light Compact

• Eversource

• National Grid

• Unitil

Appliance Ownership

• You must own the appliance being recycled

Program Limits

• Limit two recycling rebates per equipment type per account per calendar year Receive Your Rebate
